The logo design and subsequent materials were created for the Kenai Peninsula Tourism Marketing Council as part of their mission to establish a sustainable annual event which helped connect the visitor industry with the local population. Taste of the Kenai is a travel-themed gala featuring a variety of local food, craft beer, and wine direct from their proprietors. Donations from KPTMC members round out the event with a multitude of door prizes and auction items that help to raise funds for the organization's continued success. The face was kept 'open' so the design would be relatable to anyone, allowing the viewer to imagine being part of the picture. Added bonus: works as a great photo prop.
